What type of services do you provide for the typical homeowner? We provide perimeter caulking of windows, masonry control joints,
doors, and dryer vents. We also provide application of breathable masonry water repellants such as Degussa BSM100/Chem-Trete PB100
on to new and previously treated masonry.
Do you do inspections? Yes. We do exterior envelope inspections on new and existing
buildings. We look for masonry cracks, the need for miscellaneous tuckpointing, failed perimeter sealants at windows, doors,
thru wall penetrations, and current state of masonry water repellant effectiveness.
How often should my building be treated
with a water repellant? Depending on the product originally used, pressure testing can be performed on the wall to check its effectiveness.
The Chem-Trete product we apply will last for 10 years.
What are the temperature restrictions for the work you perform? 20 degrees
Fahrenheit and above with a dry and frost free substrate.
Every time it rains at my house, I get water at the top of my windows or
at ceilings adjacent to window openings and signs of water damage on drywall can you help me? Yes. We can meet with you at your
home/condo to assess where water infiltration is occurring and give you several remedies that may be helpful. We will then give you
a written estimate on what we can do for you.
My building is made of concrete block should it be sealed? Absolutely. If
you are not currently experiencing any water problems, you may in the future. When a building inspection occurs, it is commonplace
now for the inspector to want the details of its last sealant application.
Do you work with condo associations? Yes. Many
times in the past we have worked with condo associations to resolve their water infiltration issues.
